Video Game concept work Pt.1

I decided it's finally time to post some of my character design work from my time at Page 44 Studios.  To start things off, here's Grizbane.  He was a mystical caber tossing creature from a game pitch for an ESPN game that was shelved.  He was fun to develop for the few months we worked on it though.

Island Life

I love pirates. An image I painted in Photoshop for a contest that I didn't win. Oh well, it was fun and a great learning experience. I can't wait to delve deeper into my digital painting and get better at it. I regret diving into the render pass too soon on this one. I should have focused on getting the values right with broad passes. Comment with any crits you have. I appreciate it!

Mr. W.

Growing restless at work. So a 15 minute dabble with Painter's Oil Pastel brush. Just to keep things loose....

He made the hammer....and he knows how to use it.

Boom Chuck

Meet the Boom Chucker. He'll explode you. This one needs some values to clear up my bad composition. A colored 3/4 view would be much better. I'll have to revisit this fella.

Elder Wizard

Here's another character from my oft-thought about, seldom worked on project. He knows hocus pocus.
